1. Introduction
Parascope Limited (“Parascope”, “we”, “us”, “our”), registered in Ireland, is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Parascope platform and website.
2. Information We Collect
- Account information: name, email address, and company name provided during signup or when contacting us.
- Usage data: anonymised analytics via Umami (cookieless, no personally identifiable information collected).
- Infrastructure data: configuration items, relationships, and change history observed from your infrastructure by the Parascope appliance. This data belongs to you.
3. How We Use Your Information
- Service delivery and operation
- Product improvement and development
- Communication about your account and service updates
- Responding to your enquiries
4. Legal Basis (GDPR)
- Contractual necessity: processing required to deliver the service.
- Legitimate interest: anonymised analytics, security monitoring.
- Consent: marketing communications (where applicable).
5. Data Sharing
We will never sell your data. Not your account information, not your infrastructure data, not your usage patterns. Under no circumstances, to no one, for any reason. Your data exists solely to deliver the service you are paying for.
- Sub-processors: Cloudflare (website CDN and DDoS protection), EU-based infrastructure hosting provider (compute, storage, and networking). A current list of sub-processors is available on request.
- We may disclose data if required by law.
6. Data Retention
- Account data: retained while your account is active plus 90 days after closure.
- Infrastructure data: retained per your tenant configuration settings.
- Analytics data: anonymised and aggregated, retained for product improvement.
7. Your Rights
Under GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right of access to your personal data
- Right to rectification of inaccurate data
- Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”)
- Right to data portability
- Right to restrict processing
- Right to object to processing
To exercise these rights, contact privacy@parascope.io. We will respond within 30 days.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Irish Data Protection Commission (DPC), our supervisory authority: www.dataprotection.ie.
8. International Data Transfers
- All infrastructure hosted within the EU.
- Website served via Cloudflare (global CDN with EU data processing).
- No customer data is transferred outside the EU for processing or storage.
9. Security
- Per-tenant data isolation with dedicated databases
- Encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest
- Read-only infrastructure observation (no write access to your systems)

10. Data Breach Notification
In the event of a personal data breach that poses a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify the Irish Data Protection Commission within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach in accordance with GDPR Article 33. Where the breach is likely to result in a high risk to you, we will also notify you directly without undue delay.
11. Cookies and Tracking
Parascope does not use tracking cookies on either the marketing website or the application. Our analytics (Umami) are fully cookieless and collect no personally identifiable information. No third-party tracking scripts are loaded.
12. Children's Data
The Service is not directed at individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact privacy@parascope.io and we will delete it promptly.
13. Chrome Extension
The Parascope Chrome Extension allows you to search your CMDB directly from any webpage. It has a minimal data footprint:
- Network requests: The extension communicates only with the Parascope instance URL you configure. No other network requests are made.
- Local storage: Your API key is stored in
chrome.storage.local(device-only, never synced across devices). Your instance URL and display preferences are stored inchrome.storage.sync(synced within your Chrome profile). - No browsing data: The extension does not collect, transmit, or store any browsing history, page content, or personal data.
- No analytics or tracking: The extension contains no analytics, telemetry, or third-party tracking of any kind.
- No third-party services: The extension does not communicate with any service other than your configured Parascope instance.
- Permissions: Host access is requested only for your configured Parascope instance URL. The extension does not request broad access to all websites.
14. Changes to This Policy
We will notify you of material changes via email or in-product notification. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
