How Billing Works
Parascope bills based on the number of active Configuration Items (CIs) discovered across your infrastructure.
- Metering uses the 95th percentile (P95) of daily active CI counts over the billing period — this smooths out temporary spikes so you're not penalized for brief surges
- Only active CIs count — powered-off VMs, terminated containers, and deleted resources are excluded
- Billing periods align with your subscription start date (not calendar months)
Pricing Tiers
Parascope uses graduated pricing — like tax brackets, each CI is billed at the rate for its tier, not one flat rate for all CIs. Prices are shown in EUR below; the calculator supports EUR, USD, GBP, AUD, and NZD.

For example, with 6,000 CIs: the first 1,000 are billed at €0.15, the next 4,000 at €0.12, and the remaining 1,000 at €0.08 — giving a blended rate lower than any single tier.

Multi-Currency Billing
Parascope supports billing in five currencies. Your billing currency is set when you create your subscription and applies to all invoices and charges.

Annual Commitment
Commit to an estimated CI count for 12 months and receive a 20% discount on all tier rates and the minimum monthly fee.
- Usage above your committed level is billed monthly at standard (non-discounted) rates
- You can re-commit mid-term at a higher level — remaining months are credited pro-rata
Annual commitment is a good fit if your CI count is predictable and you want to reduce your unit cost without overcommitting on capacity.
Trial
New accounts start on a 30-day free trial with up to 2,500 active CIs — no charges during the trial period.
- A payment method is required at signup for seamless conversion
- At day 30, your trial automatically converts to a paid monthly subscription
- Cancel any time before day 30 and you will not be charged
Payment Methods
- Card — Visa, Mastercard, and other major cards via Stripe. Charged automatically each billing period
- Invoice — Available for enterprise customers. Payment via SEPA Direct Debit, bank transfer, or card. Payment terms: Net-30 or Net-60
Enterprise Billing
For larger deployments, Parascope offers custom pricing with negotiated discounts, PO numbers, dedicated invoicing, and flexible payment terms. Contact us to discuss enterprise billing arrangements.
