Release notes and recent changes to the Parascope platform

This page tracks notable changes to the Parascope platform. Entries are listed in reverse chronological order. We update this page with each release.

2026.6

New

  • Much deeper infrastructure discovery. NetBox now captures services, device and rack components, virtual machines and clusters, and interface-to-VLAN links. Proxmox adds SDN zones and VNets, firewall rules, backup jobs, snapshots, per-node disk and SMART health, and cluster HA state. OpenStack adds Octavia load balancers, Manila shares, Designate zones, Barbican secrets, Heat stacks, Magnum clusters, availability zones, quotas, and floating-IP/router topology. Kubernetes adds Gateway API resources, EndpointSlices, typed persistent-volume and ingress models, and RBAC and quota objects.
  • Criticality scoring v3 factors in real resource size for sharper prioritization.
  • More automatic correlation across OpenStack instances, hypervisors, and Kubernetes nodes.
  • Walkable analytics. CI references are now clickable across impact, correlations, cost, and change views, alongside related-CI lists, a criticality-over-time chart, blast-radius links, and a multi-source graph on compute and asset CIs.
  • Off-provider disaster-recovery backups (opt-in) for added resilience.
  • Scalable change history via monthly partitioning for large estates.

Improved

  • Faster Azure collection and batched relationship processing for large environments.
  • Source deep links and multi-source visibility extended across more CI types.

Fixed

  • Collectors now automatically retry transient upstream errors (HTTP 5xx and 429) instead of failing a collection cycle.
  • Numerous accuracy improvements to lineage, correlation, and blast-radius analysis.

April 2026 -- Initial Release

Parascope launches as a multi-tenant SaaS platform for infrastructure discovery and configuration management.

Platform

  • Multi-tenant architecture with namespace-per-tenant isolation
  • Self-service signup with SSO provisioning via Keycloak
  • Role-based access control with teams, data scopes, and granular permissions
  • Security audit logging for authentication events and administrative actions
  • Billing integration with Stripe (usage-based pricing on active CI count)
  • In-app support ticket system with CI context linking

Discovery and Collection

  • 22 infrastructure collectors covering cloud, on-premise, and SaaS platforms
  • Supported sources: AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, Proxmox, OpenStack, Ceph, Hetzner Cloud, Netbox, PostgreSQL, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenBao/Vault, Backstage, Keycloak, Snipe-IT, Cloudflare, Tenable, DNS, OS, SNMP
  • Collector appliance model for on-premise deployment (credentials stay in your network)
  • Circuit breaker pattern for resilient collection with automatic recovery
  • Multi-source support per collector (monitor multiple instances from one collector)

Data and Analysis

  • ParaQL query language with natural language translation
  • Cross-system correlation engine for automatic relationship discovery
  • Infrastructure lineage visualization (full stack from hardware to application)
  • CI criticality scoring with configurable scoring rules
  • DNS/FQDN enrichment for hostname-based infrastructure lookup
  • Global change history with configuration drift detection
  • Resource allocation treemap visualization
  • SNMP collection with LLDP topology mapping

User Experience

  • Dedicated detail views for high-value CI types with operational context
  • Saved views for frequently used filter combinations
  • Full-text search across all CI attributes
  • CI lifecycle management (active, inactive, deleted states)
  • Interactive relationship explorer with graph visualization
